Please join me as I take part in a wonderful group of artists paying homage to the Brazilian album Elis & Tom with this all-star cast of LA-based musicians led by Angelo Metz. A collaboration between the legendary composer-arranger Antônio Carlos Jobim and the iconic singer Elis Regina, Elis & Tom was recorded in Los Angeles in 1974 and is still considered one of the greatest Brazilian albums of all time. This special performance will feature music from Elis & Tom, along with other classics of the bossa nova canon, plus a tribute to the late João Gilberto, one of the founding fathers of this distinct Brazilian musical style.
