Pipewind Sound Studio is a boutique, black-owned recording, composition, production and teaching space in Pasadena, California. Owned and managed by Scott Mayo, a Grammy® nominated, Rochester Hall of Fame inducted composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist.

Pipewind Sound Studio has partnered with a wide range of clients from Apple TV+®, Disney®, Netflix®, HBO®, Brazilian music icon Sergio Mendes, the Biden-Harris Inauguration and numerous Grammy winning projects alongside Emmy®, Grammy®, Oscar® and Tony® winner John Legend.

Other projects include The Help Squad for Apple TV, the Netflix hit, animated series, Go Dog Go, Netflix Children’s series Ada Twist, Scientist (founded by President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama), the Disney Channel show, Bunk’d, the Revlon® One Kiss commercial campaign, and Dick Clark’s Rockin New year’s Eve celebration with Billy Porter.
